BRENTWOOD COUNSELING ASSOCIATES

My name is Kris Lott, and I am a partner at Brentwood Counseling Associates here in Brentwood. Over the last few years, we have seen a growing number of families struggling with the mental load of the ISEE and the private school application process. My wife and I went through it ourselves with our three children ( All three of my girls are Glendale Elementary alumni), so I know how stressful it can be for both students and parents.

We have put together two resources that may help your families:

Free parent webinar: "How Our Anxiety Becomes Theirs"
Monday, November 9, with two time options: 12:00–1:00 PM or 7:00–8:00 PM (CT). Parents will learn how their own anxiety can affect their child, how to respond to their child's worries, how to build confidence and resilience, and how to recognize pressures at home. ISEE Ready: a short-term program for students, led by our licensed therapists. It focuses on the mental health side of test preparation, including anxiety management and test-day coping strategies, and it works alongside any tutoring a student is already doing.

GLENDALE PARENTS THRIVE

All Glendale parents/guardians are invited to join our upcoming Glendale Parents Thrive gathering taking place on Thursday, 11/19, at the home of Blake and Jenny Howard.

We will be welcoming back Sherman Bucher of Daystar Counseling Ministries who will be sharing on the topic of mental health. We always look forward to his talks and the discussions that follow!
