¡Bienvenidos a la biblioteca de la Escuela Primaria Glendale!

We’re proud to have a vibrant and welcoming library at Glendale Elementary, led by our longtime librarian Ms. Rebecca Hornsby, who has been a part of the Glendale community since 2010.

Joining her this year (2025-2026 school year) is Ms. Maya Creamer! Ms. Creamer is splitting time 50/50 with Ms. Hornsby in the library and brings a wealth of Glendale experience to the team. She is now in her sixth year at Glendale, where she has previously served as both a 2nd grade teacher and a Classroom Associate.

Our library is more than just a place to check out books—it’s a hub for reading, learning, study time, special events, and even building computer skills. A student and family favorite is the annual Scholastic Book Fair, which brings excitement and new reads to our shelves each year!

Thanks to a partnership with Nashville Public Library, our students also enjoy access to excellent electronic resources, including an online book catalog, ebooks, and audiobooks.

👉 Ms. Hornsby and Ms. Creamer always welcome helping hands! Volunteer opportunities in the library include:

• Assisting students during morning book checkout (weekly or monthly)

• Shelving books

• Supporting book fairs (promotion, setup, sales, or cleanup)
